  • i like this video so much and you to get hire from monster because you have the energy for it as a good way not as a bad way.:))

  • Why do you skip the part when you are about to talk about the other ingrediens? Is it because they realy dont matter maybe? In that case its basicaly caffeine and shugar. A shugary cup of coffey aint that much better. Its just that some people fkn hate coffey… Its the stimulants you shold fokus on. And they already banned effedrine so why not move on?. If red bull contained other real stimulants yes they shold be studied but this shitt is getn old.. The studies on caffeine is extencive and they are addictive but ok.

  • Yeah I drink up to two cans a day and have no gut at 45 years old. It’s about ur lifestyle and never giving up a life of fitness

  • This is why I only drink Green tea to get my caffeine buzz but I also drink black tea sometimes but I get overload of caffeine if I consume two tea bags or more I perfer green tea

  • Absolutely none whatsoever. It’s legal to for a child to buy and drink this crap but if you give a child a glass of organic grass fed raw milk, it’s seen as the worst decision you could possibly make

  • I’ve never had a monster but I’ve seen most ppl have pipeline punch so is that is best flavour? What one should I buy for the first time?

  • I’m in school to be a doctor and Dr. Greger is my motivation. I don’t want to be a prescription writing fiend, i want to actually help people with their health!

  • Could those negative effects be just due to sugar in energy drinks? What about sugarless versions of red bull for example? Same negative effects?

  • So then the next thing to do is for the Vegan Doctor to release a healthy plant based beets and caffeine energy drink

  • I just feel it makes addicted. I’d love to know what it is that makes me so addicted. It’s my only bad habbit. I’m a pretty healthy vegan with all the greens and stuff but just can’t give up my 300ml can of monster ultra a day. I know it’s bad and I didn’t wanna hear it because I don’t wanna give it up. Still though of course I wanna give it up because of all these reasons. It’s just a stupid teenage habbit I started and took into adulthood…

  • I just hade 220FL OZ)ounce Red Bulls and It really gave me wings I’m a psychologist & a cyclists ‍♀️ so I’ve been told by a professional nutritionist that I could get away with eating whatever because I burn all those calories at the end of the day But if you’re just sitting at home drinking Red Bull and that’s not good I could probably give someone a heart attack

  • regretfully the doc is again cherry picking studies. cheap energy drinks do very little. get the right ingredients you’ll get about a 15% bump in IQ. How do I know this-my internet chess scores. Should the doc ever decide to look at some actual research-such as beta alinine e.g.-he’ll discover fairly significant increases in muscular strenght-and, certain combos or “stacks” of ingredients also increase endurance. I’ve been doing energy drinks since the ephedra days doc. I thought this vid a diservice-oh-and, I went to the VA hospital last week-my blood pressure was 110-65 about 4 hours after my morning drink.

  • “How many sugar.”… artificial intelligence (quite aptly named) or just very poor writing skills by the author?

  • Do you know thy spray female synthetic hormone in all the can goods in all the can drinks that’s why the children start their periods early the girls that’s why the boys are turning the other way you wanna know what else read on. Gmo food fluoride water chemtrails vaccine war abortion drugs alcohol cigs famines economic warfare mind control warfare BPA plastic 3g4g5g radio microwaves radiation wake up sheeple etc. look up stingray

  • Wait it’s marketed as nutritional supplement? How? I read the other day that the “soylent” drinks where not able to market as nutritional supplement in Canada and redbull can?

  • Who is using energy drinks thinking that they will lose weight? I have never heard anyone say that. If you’re that person, you should feel bad about yourself.

  • A girl once died at my school during a basketball game from a fatal arrhythmia after drinking 2-3 monsters or something

  • Ok when red bull came in 2000’s it was the best one day at work a door company I drunk 3 cans one morning I did 3 doors at once it’s just now and then I buy 1 help with work.

  • I once took a sip of an engergy drink just to taste it and it was so nasty. Glad I never started drink them!

  • when I went whole food plant based i stopped drinking it, i was addicted and loved the taste of it was drinking two to three cans a day….. two years forward i tried one and I was able to only drink like two to three sips and threw it away it tasted so disgusting to me I wondered how I was able to drink it everyday for so many years…..

  • What are your thoughts on changing diet to reduce tachycardia which is as a result of CPVT, do you think it’s possible to help with diet changes and to avoid taking betablockers?

  • So this means I have to stop drinking them, I actually felt that heart rate variability side effect the other day after drinking two 500 mL cans back to back, and I’m a young athletic guy. Worrying.

Will be sticking to tea and coffee!

  • i cant wait that you hit 1k subscribers and by the way maybe december or this summer we are going to bosnia (its a country) and hopefully i can find some new monster flavours that i havent seen and taste before! hopefully ill find them soon! wish me luck! and did you drink alot of the monsters in one day or each day everyday?

  • what about TASTE??? I don’t like the taste of Red Bull but I do like the taste of Rock Star and that is why I drink it (and I rarely drink sodas)

  • I usually drink coffee but I got a sugar free Monster out of desperation at school and I couldn’t even finish it. I drank a quarter of the can and I felt so jittery and weird, didn’t even help me focus on studying I was so cracked out

  • all you are doing is showing what it turned into. like carmal. you are not telling us why we shoudn’t drink it and what the bad sides of it are. no real science hereno sub for u. butYou will get a dislike:)

  • My personal report:
    Positives: taste.
Negatives: irritability and malaise, shaky hands, darkER circles around the eyes, sleep disturbances and night terrors, twitching intestines (seriously, i swear), irritated urethra etc.

Yet STILLI am drinking one right now… If that’s not the definition of ddiction, I don’t know what is.

  • I lost a very good friend. He had heart attack at 50 years old. It could have been due to SAD… But he also used to drink energy drinks like water. True as a fire fighter he had crazy schedules and energy was always a problem, but clearly those cans were not the answer.

  • let the peasants eat cheeseburgers and energy drinks. let them die and cleanse our species. for the good of our species. let them die

  • Good thing it´s mostly kids consuming that stuff, if the elderly got their hands on that cheap like with the tea and coffee they´re fed they might actually be worse off.

  • ‘You don’t know until you put it to the test’. I hope people will use this sentence more to counter pseudoscientific arguments of other people.

  • Wonderful video.
I would suggest also tackling the claim that energy drinks have some sort of mental enhancing effects. As I am in college right now, I see a lot of students who take energy drinks to “stay focused” or pull an all-nighter. But does it actually help?

  • I usually eat fruit/coconut water ect.. for quick/sharp/clean energy and sometimes cacao and organic coffee, matcha or medicinal mushrooms for energy i never need that chemical shit. Natural products work far more efficient with no negative side effects or crash. The more you use “energy supplements” the more the body becomes used to that artificial fuel source for energy thus natural energy reserves become depleted/dormant and you will feel weak and drained without the chemical/drug your body has become used to for main source of energy. Even coffee is not good every day especially multiple times a day because ultimately a stimulant is a stimulant but an apple for example or other piece of fruit will give you long lasting clean energy/fuel with no long term negatives.

  • I don’t really understand what’s wrong with this. You boiled a monster drink full of sugar which turned into some sort of caramel which sugar naturally does, while the monster with no sugar doesn’t do that? WOW!

  • Well my cousin drinked a monster drink and next day idk hes like aggressive or idk i mean he was crazy but im not lying and alot ppl believe monster drink is the devil

  • Stuff looks so good, but my parents won’t let me buy any energy drinks because they think it’s poison in a can and because I’m 12. May have to buy some anyway next time I’m not with them at holiday…

  • I’ve been telling people for years to stay away from this garbage. Thank you so much for these last 2 videos. You guys are the best!

  • lol, who drinks these thinking they are good for you? i drink them because i like how they taste, knowing full well they are super bad for you. i try to limit it to once a week, but some weeks will have up to 3. man, it’s so interesting how people try to find good news about their bad habits.

  • This guy is amazing. His creativity and humor gels so well. This is the kind of review-style other YouTubers should be looking up to.

  • Are there any studies regarding the effects of pre-workout drinks? I use the one from transparent labs, the bulk one specifically.

  • Just so u know that regular monster is a few months old cause it’s sponsoring BO4 and they started doing that like in August of 2018not hating or anything…just pointing out that u should’ve at least used a new regular monster for this experiment!

  • Were the energy drinkers people who ate the typical heavy meat and dairy diet and probably already had high blood pressure???

  • This vid was just recommended to me and I watched it, very good however where was the the ripper, ultra citreon, the doctor and lewis hamilton 44?

  • Dude you had none of the coffee monsters. There’s mean bean, mocha loca “my fav “ and another one I can never remember.

  • I think the next videos should address the pros/cons when it come to the other ingredients in these energy drinks aside from caffeine. What about Taurine, Guarana, the B vitamin complex? None of these things have any sunstantial effects, good or bad?

  • I ‘m not going to look at any of the comments anymore. Instead of being helpful & having other MD’s comment, they’ve become profane at the least bit if disagreement. Where did all the NF proctors go??!!!

  • Dr.Gregor, whats your opinion on sugar free sodium free energy drinks/pre workout(so just supplements I guess).

  • I love Monster and watching this was actually educational. Thanks for the information bro, you earned a new sub:)

  • This is actually such a tease, in my city we only have 5-7 types of Monster, its my favorite drink! I want to taste every damn type because all of the drinks i tasted are delicious!

  • I like that he does this but doesn’t scientifically explain why that is sugar. If you mix water with sugar boil it until the sugar melts, then boil it again i am pretty sure its just going to evaporate.

  • Bro are you addicted to Monster Energy? CAUSE I LOVE IT! Bro your work is very good and thank you thats the best video of all time!
