  • Thanks for the video very informative I was wondering if you have suggestions for energy bars low sugar or no sugar
    Stay safe

  • Hey Bobby, You missed Whole Foods 365 Organic Creamy Penut Butter. Not allowed to comment on WH 365 Brand?

  • The brand SunButter actually does an amazing sugar-free and organic line! That’s the one I usually go for:)

  • If I get my MD do I get to dump jars of peanut butter on a table for science? Not too late to change my major…

  • Is the Costco Organic Strawberry Jam ok? It has 8g Added sugar and the ingredients are: fresh organic strawberries, Organic Cane Sugar, Fruit Pectin, and Citric acid

  • In NY it costs 3.79 avg i only buy crazy rich now buttt i do like smuckers too for the kiddos since she likes thicker

  • I had this peanut butter I bought but I ask you they’re expiration in it will still be good to more days? They look still good.

  • It doesn’t matter if the container says “natural” or not. Look at the ingredients, because they’re all you need to know. Everything else on the label is mostly marketing.

  • Is Adams a good brand? It is just peanuts and salt. I do not know if it is organic, however. I think organic P. B. is best as I think it has less pesticides.

  • MaraNatha makes an organic peanut butter without palm oil. It’s NOT the one that says no sugar or salt; it’s just “organic creamy peanut butter.” Two ingredients: peanuts and salt. http://www.maranathafoods.com/product/organic-peanut-butter-creamy/

Give it some love next time!

  • Hello Aman sir crunchy le ya fir smooth le for weight loss…. please sir reply me it would be really appreciable

  • I love the channel, but I think you have it all wrong when you talk about the price disparity between raw and non-raw almond butters. In the first part of the video when you were at Walmart I noticed how you trashed the Maranatha Almond butter for its high ($15) price tag. Well it’s the USDA Organic sticker you are paying for. The reason why the other jar was $6 was it was non-organic. The brand Artisana that you mentioned at Whole Foods uses non-PPO pasteurization as regulated by California Almonds. There is no such thing as cheap organic almonds butter, period! Keep up the good work!

  • Could you please make a video on buying nuts and seeds. Its confusing which one to buy Organic. Also which form is better.

  • Hi flav ciry im in the uk but been watching your shows every day. Its great only downside your usa and it’s difficult to compare on products

  • Thanks Bobby, I did not know about all this over priced butters. I thought I was making the right choices but, I know better now.

  • My comment is that from an environmental standpoint, natural peanut butter is better because a lot of “normal” peanut butter uses palm oil, and palm oil production is extremely detrimental to the environment ( and also your health, depending on where you live)

  • This is why I love Trader Joes. It only took a second to say their PB is healthy. Thanks for the info!!

  • JIF is always my favorite no matter what and the only one I am allowed to eat the rest of them I can’t have them

  • So much uncontrollable diherra on this diet, it won’t stop even with imodium, eating bread is the only thing stopping it, no wonder people lose weight on this diet, u diherra it all out, might as well be eating laxatives

  • Peanut butter waking chocolate kha k Meryl Sr main drd hi rha hy kya yeah blood pressure zyada karta hy west salted filling thi

  • What’s weird is I can find tons of peanut butters with no oil or a good oil, but trying to find that in an almond butter or pecan butter(my fave)is pretty impossible‍♀️ I use a lot of powdered nut butters bc it’s usually just nuts, no fillers or junk.

  • Wow today I was at Walmart looking for almond butter and I could not bring myself to purchase any of it because of the ingredients. I’m glad I went with my first mind, and now I’m siting here browsing YouTube and this video is in my recommendations. Wow. Now, I will continue my search for almond butter. I been eating alot of sunflower butter the no added sugar kind, and the yellow jar one when they didn’t have it. I’m glad you confirmednpalm oil is bad. Thanks!

  • This is great. I always buy the Costco Peanut Butter. Keeps Simple. Used to buy Almond Butter but got a little burnt out on it. Interesting how they only have conventional Almond Butter, was wondering about that…

  • Here’s a tip: you can buy few pounds of peanuts and then stop by at any grindery to make butter out of it.
At least you’ll know the ingredients and It’s healthier

  • Be careful with organic peanut butters. Ir it’s not made with Valencia peanuts it may be peanuts from some other country. Maybe even China. As long as they turn them into butter in the US they can call it made in the USA. Don’t be fooled. The only two places I know sell organic Valencia peanut butter are Trader Joe’s and Costco. There could be more but I’m not sure. Organic Valencia peanuts are grown in West Texas And New Mexico

  • Hi Bobby, what about the Costco Kirkland Organic strawberry spread. 9 grams of organic cane sugar per tbls serving.

    Has 0 fat, 0 sodium, 9carbs, 9g sugar, 8g added sugar, 0 protein.

    Ingredients are
    fresh organic strawberries
    Organic cane sugar
    Fruit pectin
    Citric acid

    Thank you…

  • You’re wrong about Maranatha organic California raw almond butter all of them are not bad.I purchase one that only has organic raw almonds that’s it.

  • See, I look at Jif and all I can think of is my Aussie childhood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf8ma-lUBkA. Mmm, soapy.

  • i bought alpino peanut butter, but when i opened it first time,i got bad smell,so is it ok or something bad.

  • Natural means without addition of synthetic chemicals in the consumable product. It also means without the removal of naturally occurring compounds via chemical apparatus.

Peanuts do not require anything more than roasting and being ground up to make peanut butter, hence its natural.

    What makes this so difficult?

    A few other examples:

White sugar is unnatural because it requires bleaching to produce

Beer and wine are natural because yeasts and wheat or juices are all natural and fermentation is natural as well

Liquor is not natural because the distillation process removes many of the natural compounds of the initial brew.

TLDR: Processed foods are not natural, this is pretty simple.

  • Natural has no real meaning, but saying putting peanuts in jars is not natural this is just pathetic. grow up.

  • Some butter say that the nuts are dry roasted and other just say roasted. If they says “roasted” can that mean that they are roasted in vegetable oils without putting the oil on the ingredient list or are roasted nut butters just as safe as the dry roasted ones?

  • Why does the government allow these companies to use harmful chemicals that hurt people. It’s so evil.

  • You forgot Laura Scudder’s peanut butter. It only has peanuts and salt. And it tastes great. P.S. I’m sure you know this, but peanuts are actually legumes (beans), not nuts.

  • Just put roasted salted peanuts in the food processor…done. no added sugars, man-made fake oils or emulsifiers needed.

  • Buy PB2 high in protein and low in fat. You just add a bit of water and I turns to peanut butter. Taste the same too

  • Small amounts of trans fats are harmful. Look at the research. That is why they are banned in the US, EU, and soon, Canada.

  • From a health perspective, yes. From a taste perspective, never in a hundred years.
Natural peanut butter is THE WORST. You have to spend practically hours stirring it up, and for what? A tasteless, brown oily paste? No way.

  • Why does the government allow these companies to use harmful chemicals that hurt people. It’s so evil.

  • You are insane. You proved this before with your mockery of eating vegetables. So now hydrogenated oil, corn syrup and sugar are the same as eating plain ground peanuts? You are a detriment to public health.

  • Thank you for the great tip. I just bought a jar of nut butter and wondered if there was something on Youtube like this, and Lo and Behold!

  • I am a big advocate for a keto diet. I think it can be sustainable and healthy however just like any diet, you have to avoid junk food oil and fats.

I have seen a lot of Registered Dieticians attack the diet with accusations based off of bad studies or no studies at all. This is the first dietician that I feel accurately evaluated the diet, it’s pros and cons. While there may be some argument with her answer, the argument is based on the validity of the science, biology and studies and not her personal beliefs.

If you want video advise from a dietician, this is the right channel.

  • I always get the natural peanut butter because it tastes so much better. I can actually taste peanuts (duhh!) lol

  • “Only peanuts” peanut butter is the best for the flavor and for health… I don’t understand why there is so much sugar in everything!

  • Great post! I’ve always had a rough time trying to stir these with any brand. Your post has saved me. 2 days works!! Thanks!!

  • Eat peanut butter with hydrogenated oils is not “negligible” when you consider the people who buying it are probably consuming a high volume of hydrogenated oils in the other foods they buy. COME ON JAMES, you can do better than that.

  • i think the MD was getting paid by the second. less smushing PB on paper and more getting to the answer.

  • I would love to hear the reason why palm oil is bad…. not just hear it’s really really bad. Explain what it does to the body.

  • dear Dr dickweed, you are right the term “all natural” is vague and useless as a descritor for food and is being used by corporations to project an image of wholesomeness where none is evident. the rest of your video is complete crap. peanut butter with two ingredients (peanuts and salt) is nowhere near comparable with ‘peanut butter’ where sugar followed by hydrogenated oil are the second and third leading ingredients. Americans have only recently been beaten out by Mexicans as the most obese population on the planet. much of the this over-nourishment comes from the fact the virtually every food item in the common American shopping cart is laden with extra sugars and fat. if you want to serve a positive role, say something intellengent. the minimum standard of your profession after all is to do no harm.

  • The inexplicable desire to want a ‘no stir’ nut butter proves that the consumer does not make rational decisions when purchasing products. So the markets cater to this irrational desire, and the result is that we end up shoveling shit down our throats and most people aren’t even aware of it. I wasn’t for years.

  • Thanks so much!! I’ve been trying to eat better and this peanut butter pisses me off. Hopefully it’ll be more manageable now. ❤️

  • Where can I buy your book and how much? I go to Costco in Old Country Road in Long Island, NY. Do you have that book?

  • I don’t eat a ton of peanut butter, but after eating “natural” peanut butter for a while I find the normal stuff just tastes too sugary (like peanut butter frosting). Great on a banana cake, not so great on what I’d like to be a savory peanut butter sandwich.

  • Just take the amount you want in a bowl and put it in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Easy. Done. You just wasted your time.

  • You cannot decide which is better, artificial Saturated fat or NOT then you need to go back to school because that is an EPIC FAIL.

  • The natural one with only roasted peanuts Actually tastes way better. It’s not just better for you, it tastes less fake and salty

  • Just got my first jar of this stuff and am tasting it while watching. All I can say is, how do you stand it? It barely has any taste at all. Needs salt in a big way. Back to Jiff for me.

  • Palm oil is fine and some MCT oil is made from it. The only problem with it is on an environmental level with regards to how its sustained. I don’t understand why people want sugar in their PB when you consider a bag of peanuts is a savour snack with just peanuts and salt?

  • If you can swing it, always go for the “natural” version. The less additives, the better, and corporations will spend millions into PR and even scientists to try and tell you otherwise. Even if you don’t consume peanut butter on the regular, it’s good to support the movement.

  • Assuming you aren’t allergic to peanuts…peanut butter is a great survival food. I keep one of those 5 gallon drum containers of it in my emergency supplies. It lasts a REAL LONG time and has enough calories in it to keep you well fed for months…plus its actually really nutritious with lots of protein, etc.

I also keep a 10lb bag of white rice (again, because it can last a very long time)…but I know I’d be all over the peanut butter if I had the choice.

  • Preferred fuel source? Your body can’t burn ketones in the presence of carbohydrates but I’d hardly characterise that as “preferred” at least you got the rations right, most vegan zealots still think it’s high protein lol

  • who cant read the labbels? No one requested a video about moron who walks in the store and tell you the obvious, my god did you switched head with your butt this morning seriously dude ofc everyone wants pure butter

  • Love the channel but please stop recommending these harmful ketogenic and low carb diets. Please take a closer look at the studies.
